Executive Profiles

Scotte C. Hudsmith - President & CEO
Mr. Hudsmith brings to Syngistix 16 years of leadership and general business experience focused in venture capital backed technology companies. Prior to joining Syngistix he was COO of Sienna Imaging, Inc., a worldwide leader in providing hardware and software digital imaging solutions to the photographic industry. Mr. Hudsmith was a founder and key member of the Sienna Imaging management team. His experience and leadership skills allowed Sienna to experience phenomenal growth while remaining profitable. Sienna achieved significant returns for its investors when it completed a successful exit to a large Swiss Conglomerate in February 2000. Prior to Sienna Imaging, he held various officer-level positions with Sedgwick James, Inc. (now Marsh, Inc.), an international insurance brokerage firm. He began his professional career in public accounting at Deloitte, Haskin & Sells (now Deloitte & Touche) where he gained significant experience with LBO and MBO transactions. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Memphis with a major in Accounting and a minor in Management Information Systems. He has also successfully completed Harvard Business Schools Senior Executive Management program.

Mark C. Vellequette - Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Vellequette brings to Syngistix fifteen years of experience in finance and leadership in high-technology companies, and is currently responsible for Syngistix financial operations and leadership. As CFO for bCandid Corporation, Vellequette negotiated two rounds of funding, increased revenue by over 400% in FY 1999, and was instrumental in negotiating the sale of bCandid to Software.com. He began his high-tech career in finance at Intel in Santa Clara, CA. He received a B.S. in Commerce, Finance from Santa Clara University and an MBA from Santa Clara Universitys Leavey School of Business.

Steve Guillaume - Chief Technology Officer
hotel rooms Cologne Mr. Guillaume joined Syngistix in April 2001 and is responsible for the company's application strategy, technical architecture, product development and operations. Prior to Syngistix, Mr. Guillaume was Chief Executive Officer of TSI Resources, Inc., a consulting company serving Fortune 500 distribution and manufacturing organizations that he co-founded in 1996. Prior to founding TSI Resources, he held leadership roles in information technology with a number of distribution companies, including Corporate Express where he served as the Director of Corporate Financial Solutions and was responsible for the design and implementation of financial systems strategies as well as day-to-day information system operations and support. While at Corporate Express, he formulated a number of strategic relationships with technology providers such as PeopleSoft, Hewlett-Packard Company and Merant. Mr. Guillaume graduated from University of Minnesota UMD with a major in communications.

Laura Guillaume - Vice President of Customer Services
Ms. Guillaume joined Syngistix in April 2001 and is responsible for customer support, implementation management and customer satisfaction. Prior to Syngistix, Ms. Guillaume was Vice President of TSI Resources, Inc., a consulting company serving Fortune 500 distribution and manufacturing organizations that she CO-founded in 1996. Ms. Guillaume created the environment at TSI Resources that placed priority on superior customer service by applying an intelligent balance of customer management software and personal service. Prior to founding TSI Resources, Ms. Guillaume was the architect of new and improved Process Control Systems for water and wastewater facilities across the country with Morrison Knudsen and CH2M Hill, and at Corporate Express she was a systems analyst responsible for the design and implementation of the company's warehouse systems. Ms. Guillaume graduated from Colorado School of Mines with a major in Electrical Engineering with minors in Mathematics and Management.

Marjorie Rodell - Vice President of Development
Ms. Rodell joined Syngistix in May 2001 and brings to the team over 25 years of experience in developing, supporting and marketing software products and related services. Prior to Syngistix, she was Managing Partner for MTR, Inc, a consulting firm specializing in business development, market analysis and strategy, product development and information technology strategy services for software application companies, investors in business startups and health care delivery organizations. Prior to founding MTR, Ms. Rodell built the application product development organization for CliniCom, Inc. and served as a corporate officer and member of the executive management team through two public offerings and a sustained 100% growth rate over a five-year period until the company was acquired by HBO&Company (now McKesson-HBOC). Marjorie earned a Bachelor of Arts from Hollins College and a Masters of Social Work from University of North Carolina. She is a founding member of the Colorado Chapter of the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs.

John G. Pitek - Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Mr. Pitek brings to Syngistix more than fifteen years of experience in telecommunications, software systems and high technology product sales and marketing. John joins Syngistix from RELERA, an Internet data center and managed services provider, where he was the Senior VP of Sales and Marketing. RELERA raised over $300M in capital to build the business and operates in 11 markets around the U.S. John was responsible for a 110 member national sales team, selling complex hosting solutions to enterprise businesses as well as all aspects of RELERAs marketing efforts. John has also held executive positions at Qwest, Frontier Communications (now Global Crossing) and Eastman Kodak Company. He holds five patents, including one of the first software patents issued in the United States obtained during his tenure at Eastman Kodak Company. John holds a BS in Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, an M.S. in Engineering from the University of Rochester and an MBA from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester.
