XPDT Overview

XPDT, pronounced "expedite," is software designed to support newer trading exchange business models with a focus upon event-driven, real-time communications. XPDT extends the distribution model for Trade Exchanges, Buying Groups, National Accounts and companies that sell-source-ship(S3) through alternative or strategic warehouses. XPDT provides companies with the ability to flexibly configure how they want to do business with customers and suppliers.

XPDT has two standard business engines, the Commerce Engine and the Collaboration Engine that are used to drive transactions based upon rules and relationships between the distributors' locations, customers and suppliers. For example, XPDT can manage unique and specific pricing, sourcing, and allocation agreements with each vendor and with each customer. These applications allow distributors to effectively communicate and provide visibility with all their supply chain trading partners.

Distributors and fulfillment organizations use XPDT to manage all their business needs, including: capturing customer orders, purchasing from suppliers, posting of financial transactions and reporting.

As with our other software products, XPDT software uses a Microsoft Windows desktop or browser user interface and was architected to work with a variety of hardware and software platforms including HP, AS400, Unix, etc.
